Welcome to the Web Site of the Derwent Pony Club!
The Derwent Pony Club is based at Kensington Park in New Norfolk and meets on the third Sunday of each month for a rally. Our members come from all over southern Tasmania, from Ouse to the Tasman Peninsula and vary in age and riding abilities. Derwent Pony Club was first established in March 1995 and our current District Commissioner is Jane Berriman.
We mainly compete in areas such as; Eventing, Dressage, Games and Showjumping but never hesitate to try new things! Derwent hosts and attends many Pony Club events during each season; We compete at the State Eventing Trials, State Dressage champs, State Showjumping champs, Southern and State Games, Royal Hobart Show as well as many other ODE's and club days.
We are a very close knit club, with parents, friends and riders always willing to lend a hand, whether its to help a younger rider saddle up, set out lunch or move show jumps! We generally have two camps per year, summer camp which is held at Meadowbank Farm and another either in the June or September holidays of which the venue varies.
